Program Overview:Learning Kids Montessori offers year around full time and part time Montessori education for children from age 18 months to 6 years through the following program:
Our toddler class room is designed for ages 18 months to 30 months. Children are not required to be potty trained for this program. The teacher student ratio is 1:6. Our low child teacher ratio and small class size gives each child the space to develop .Our toddlers have freedom of movement to explore and socialize with other children along with various activities, throughout the day, which include circle time, story time, music and movement, art and craft, outdoor play time. Toddler-sized furniture andMontessori materials enable our children to confidently succeed in their explorations and endeavors, assisting them in their pursuits for independence. Children are given individual and small group lessons.
Our Primary Preschool classroom is designed for ages 2 years to 3 years. Children are not required to be potty trained. Potty training assistance is available. Teacher student ratio in this area is 1:8. Specially designed Montessori materials and activities meet the child’s interest in movement, independence, order, language, and music. Children will be introduced to Montessori materials focusing in all the curriculum areas such as Practical life, sensorial, math, language, cultural, art and craft, gardening, music and movement with monthly themes. Work sheets are also included as part of their daily routine. Children are given individual and small group lessons.
Our preschool classroom is designed for ages 3 years to 4 years. Children have to be fully potty trained to enter this program. Teacher student ratio is 1:12. The class room is designed with many Montessori materials, filled with various advanced extensions in the areas of Practical life , Sensorial, Math, Language, Cultural, Botany, Zoology, Geography, Science, Art and Craft, cooking and nutrition, Music and Movement with Monthly themes. Work sheets are also included as part of their daily routine. Children are given individual and small group lessons.
Our pre k class room is designed for ages 4 years to 6 years old. Child is required to have completed 4 years by the month of Dec in order to enroll in this program. Teacher to student ratio is 1:12. Our pre K and Kindergarten students are encouraged to develop their character while cultivating ethical and responsible behavior. Students experience a well-defined social system operating within the classroom which includes advanced academic curriculum.
LKM provides extended care program for an extra charge, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Our summer program offers a range of fun and stimulating session in sports, art, outdoor education, academic enrichment and field trips.
Extra-curricular programs, such as gymnastics, dance, Spanish, are offered in order to enrich our programs. The extracurricular programs are conducted by outside contractors and are handled directly with the individual instructor or program director, according to policies determined and announced by the individual program instructor or director.
